1. The Insulin

We have mentioned above about the insulin. Furthermore, about it, insulin is a hormone from your pancreas. It is key to manage your sugar from the food you take. Their job allows your body to use sugar or not. Also, insulin “tells” glucose to store the sugar for the future. So, now you know that insulin is the leader to manage your sugar blood. People who have the type 1 lose this key, while type 2 still having it but it doesn’t respond. Simply said, type 1 doesn’t have the key, type 2 has a broken key.

2. The Symptoms

Actually, the symptoms between them are the same. But there is one different symptom you can use to predict. People with diabetes type 1 often mood changes and losing their weight irrationally. On the other hand, type 2 get a tingling sensation in their hands or feet. Or, they sometimes get numbness suddenly. However, the symptom of type 2 cannot be tracked. It is different from type 1 which develop very fast.

3. The Causes

Now we move on to the causes. It is very important to know, so you can avoid or at least minimize it. People with type 1 need to deal with the misunderstood immune system. When the immune has to attack the viruses and bacteria, in this case, the immune reads health cells as the invaders. While for people with type 2 still produces insulin but it is unused. Because your body cannot handle it more, then glucose will store in the bloodstream.

4. The Risk Factors

In fact, both of them are triggered by different factors. Diabetes type 1 can appear in any age and possibly from genetics. If you have parents or siblings with diabetes type 1, then you have to keep your healthy because you are risky for it. While for type 2 is mostly caused by obese. It attacks people that physically not really active, so type 2 is common for age over 45. Also, women with polycystic ovarian syndrome should aware too.

5. The Treatment

Unluckily, until now there is no cure for diabete type 1. These people must regularly take an injection in certain body’s part, such as arm, stomach, or buttocks. It is due to add the insulin so their blood sugar is normal. Because their level could be up and down quickly. While for type 2 can be controlled by having exercise and diet. But here changing life style is not enough. These people need doctor’s help so their insulin can work properly.
